QUINCY (WGEM) - Quincy University’s Gray Gallery, located in Brenner Library, will host the art exhibition Color Digital Photography with Thematic Carve Frames Jan. 24 through Feb. 18, according to the University.

The free exhibit will feature works by John Gebhardt, from Quincy, and Rudy Gebhardt from Argyle, Wisconsin.

According to Quincy University, artists John and Rudy Gebhardt have collaborated to create unique pieces of artwork. John, a photographer, provides his brother Rudy with photos he has taken on his travels. Rudy creates wooden themes on frames to surround John’s photography. Each unique frame is based on the theme of the photo.

“Together, we have created some unique “artistic” items,” said John. “We hope viewers of our combined artwork will enjoy them.”

According to QU the exhibit also includes some of John’s framed photography which is not part of the collaborative effort.
