Study finds annual economic impact for Quincy Airport to be $24.7M

QUINCY (WGEM) - The Illinois Department of Transportation Aviation System Plan shows an annual $24.7 million economic impact of the Quincy Regional Airport on the Tri-State Region.
According to Quincy Regional Airport, the study takes into account visitor spending, on-airport activity, job creation, labor income, and value-added by businesses utilizing the airport.
“This study proves Quincy Regional Airport serves well beyond just airport users”, said Airport Director Sandra Shore, “we pride ourselves on the impact we provide to our community and our region. We will continue to work to bring infrastructure improvements to the airport and support our local industries.”
Quincy Mayor Mike Troup added, “Quincy Regional Airport has been and will continue being a strong economic engine for West Central Illinois and our Tri-State Region. We continue to invest in various improvements to maintain a safe Regional Airport for both Commercial and Private Air services.”
