QUINCY (WGEM) -We have one more day of temperatures that will be running above normal. Then our eyes are focused on a snowstorm that will impact the Midwest Friday. There still some uncertainty with this storm. The storm itself is still off the Northwest coast near British Columbia. So, the storm has a long way to go before it makes it to the Midwest. Right now we are expecting accumulating snow to begin Friday afternoon and taper off Saturday morning. If the current forecast track holds the entire area will see some accumulation. The heaviest of the totals will stay in the very north and western portions of the region. The National Weather Service has already issued a Winter Storm Watch for Clark, Scotland, Lee and Hancock counties. This Winter Storm Watch is valid until noon Saturday the potential accumulations are greater than 4 inches possibly up to six for the counties outlined in the winter storm watch. Beyond that we have a dip in temperatures with Sunday morning Lows down in the single digits. Temperatures than rebound Monday and Tuesday above the freezing mark.
