WGEM Sports at Six: January 12 (Wednesday) John Wood Womens Basketball Team Hosts the Reigning National Champions; Griggsville-Perry Does Not Finish at Winchester Tournament;

QUINCY (WGEM) -John Wood Women’s Basketball Team hosted the reigning National Champions today. The Lady Blazers had their work cut out for them tonight, but they were ready for the challenge. Head Coach, Norm Rodriguez, said the key behind a win, is to play as a team.

“We’re a band off the hand. Were right there if we play together. When then hand is a fist, nobody can bust it, but if its individually, they can break are fingers, but togetherness, nobody can beat us”.

Winchester Tournament Update

Griggsville-Perry is no longer in the tournament due to COVID-19 protocols. The Tornados were supposed to tip off against Western Tonight.
