Flurries, then a seasonable start to week
A weak trough of low pressure is moving through the Tri-States Sunday evening, bringing the chance for a few flurries or even snow showers through the overnight hours. Locations that see the snow showers may get a new dusting, but otherwise minimal impacts are expected. Anyone traveling overnight should be on the look out for a few slick spots on the roads though.
Heading into Martin Luther King Jr Day, temperatures will remain quite seasonal. Highs will top out in the low 30′s with morning cloud cover and a few peaks of sunshine in the afternoon. After Monday, the weather begins to change quite dramatically. Warm weather will arrive on Tuesday, with temps climbing above average. That warm up does not last long though, with an arctic airmass surging into the region later in the week.
