Dream Big Campaign a big success this year

QUINCY (WGEM) - The Quincy Public Schools Foundation is celebrating a record-breaking fundraising campaign.

Their 2021 Dream Big annual campaign raised more than $310,000 this year, $100,000 over their initial goal.

QPS Foundation Executive Director Kent Embree said they’re happy to have the community’s support.

“Without private donations, our level of quality in the Quincy Public Schools could suffer, and so we’re very appreciative of the private donations that help us kind of raise that bar and meet the gaps in the district’s budget,” Embree said.

The money will go towards things like curriculum, technology and fine arts.
