Snow covering Quincy roads making them slick
QUINCY (WGEM) - The snow coming down Tuesday night left Quincy’s roads covered, and in not the best condition for driving.
Despite the efforts of plows running their routes and dropping down salt, by 10 p.m., main thoroughfares like Broadway and Maine Street were covered.
Drivers said the roads had been slick well before that time, as early at 8:30 p.m., when the snow was just starting to come down in earnest.
Some drivers said the snow started coming down very quickly.
“I was just hooping in the gym when it was pretty rainy but there wasn’t too much snow coming down,” Kenshay Brown said. “I walked out about an hour later, and it came down pretty quick.”
Officials said those still planning to get out on the roads should pay attention to their surrounding, exercise caution while driving and go slowly.
