Kroc Center to host Soup-er Bowl fundraiser

QUINCY (WGEM) - The Kroc Center Youth Ministry Team is hosting a Soup-er Bowl Party this Sunday during the big game.

Youth Development and Outreach Specialist Jakin Logsdon said the fundraiser is for youth programs.

She said there will be three big screens displaying the Super Bowl as well as tables set up for games and activities.

Proceeds will go to fund the Kroc day camp and character-building programs that, she said, are essential for the youth in the community.

“We have a lot of children from different backgrounds and to just give an opportunity to speak into them, to teach them new skills or talents that they could use for their future is what we’re all about,” Logsdon said.

Anyone can attend. It costs $5 per meal.

The party is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13.
