Shots fired investigation underway in Quincy

QUINCY (WGEM) - There is an investigation into a report of shots fired in Quincy Monday night.

Sgt. Chad Logsdon said it happened on 6th and Maple Streets around 8 p.m.

They responded after getting calls from neighbors who said they had heard the shots.

However, when police got to the scene, they said they did not find any suspects or weapons, and no one was hurt.

“Upon arrival, we did find some shell casings in the street area. That’s why it’s roped off. So, we’re currently processing the scene and investigating from there,” Logsdon said.

He said this shots fired incident is one of many recently that are all under investigation.

Logsdon said the police department will keep searching for answers regarding all the reports they have been receiving.
