Missouri man arrested after Wednesday evening car chase, officer-involved shooting

SHELBY COUNTY, Mo (WGEM) - Late Thursday night, Shelby County, Mo, Prosecuting Attorney Jordan Force charged a Missouri man who led a car chase in Quincy to Missouri Wednesday evening.
Erik A. Prange, 51, of Moberly, Missouri, was charged with four counts of felony assault, 1st degree of special victim (police officer) and four counts of armed criminal action following a multi-state chase that began near 48th and Broadway in Quincy.
The charges stem from a preliminary investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.
Prange remains in custody in the Shelby County Jail. A bond has not been authorized.
