Hannibal begins 69th annual Tom Sawyer Days
HANNIBAL (WGEM) - Hannibal celebrated its annual Tom Sawyer Days talent show Wednesday evening.
Residents across the Tri-States came out to participate in Hannibal’s Got Talent.
This event was part of the much larger Tom Sawyer Days that Hannibal celebrates.
This year marks the 69th annual celebration for Tom Sawyer Days.
Tonight’s talent show was just one of the events to kick off the Tom Sawyer Days.
“I think they just like to see people perform and it gives them something to come out and do. We have a 6-year-old who is going to sing for us this year. I like to see everybody come up and risk their fears of being on stage and performing,” said Hannibal’s Got Talent Chairman Emma Dooley.
Tom Sawyer Days continues throughout the rest of the week, with their final events taking place on Sunday.
