Bailey Braun

Born in the heart of the Rockies, Bailey Braun was raised in the small town of Battlement Mesa, Colorado. Growing up surrounded by the rugged beauty of Western Colorado, she developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the ever-changing skies. From sun-soaked desert summers to snow-blanketed winters, Bailey has always been captivated by the rhythm of the seasons.

Bailey grew up with an affinity for writing, often showcasing that strength through research reports and creative writing. She knew that she wanted her career to involve writing as the skill set. Bailey attended Rifle High School, where she was actively involved in Mock Trial and played competitive soccer. During her senior year, she launched her own radio show, dipping her toes into the water of broadcasting.

Driven by a spirit of adventure, Bailey packed up and left for Daytona Beach, Florida, to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. There, she played collegiate soccer while pursuing a degree in Broadcast Meteorology. With a black belt in Kung Fu and countless hours spent playing soccer, she initially explored sports reporting. As Senior Reporter for Embry-Riddle's student paper, The Avion, she was able to explore all horizons of journalism. However, she soon discovered her true calling in weather forecasting.

Bailey returned to Colorado for her senior-year internship in Grand Junction, where she further honed her skills and solidified her career path in meteorology. Now, after three years of building hurricane experience and collecting UVs, she’s thrilled to be back where she belongs—among the mountains.

Outside of work, Bailey enjoys exploring the natural world, mingling in the community, playing soccer, and catching a good UFC fight when she can.
