Between athletics and her QU experiences, Mattison realized her love for connecting with people and understanding their unique stories. Once realizing her passion for giving the people a voice she became a reporter and anchor for the university’s news channel, QUTV News.
Mattison interned at WGEM News the summer heading into her senior year. After returning to QU for her final semester, she returned full-time to WGEM News calling the Tri-States home. Mattison had not only fallen in love with WGEM and her coworkers, but she had also fallen for the community.
When Mattison is not working she enjoys both playing and watching sports, catching the sunset at the river, and exploring the community and all it has to offer.
