Tony’s excitement and overall enthusiasm for Tri-State Sports can be heard in his voice every single night that he’s on the air.

The award-winning sports journalist, and proud University of Central Florida product, was recently honored by the Illinois Broadcasters Association with the 2020 "Best Television Sportscaster Award." Previously during his career, he was honored by the Alabama Broadcasters Association as the 2017 "Sports Anchor of the Year!" Back in 2016, Tony was also recognized by the Alabama Associated Press as "Sports Anchor of the Year!"

Tony has primarily covered the SEC, ACC, Big 12, MEAC, Ivy League, NFL, NBA and MLB throughout his broadcasting career. He's covered multiple Super Bowls, BCS/CFP National Championship Games, World Series, NCAA Final Four match-up's, and "The Masters" at Augusta National. He's made various career stops at radio and television stations throughout Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, the NY/NJ/Philadelphia area, and now "The Land Of Lincoln!"

Tony joined the WGEM Sports Team in Quincy back in 2018. He was also recently honored by the Iowa Broadcast Newscast Association as "Best Television Play-By-Play Announcer" for 2019. It's the second year in a row he's won the coveted award.

The highly sought after Motivational and Keynote Speaker has been heavily involved in various local community initiatives, youth empowerment seminars, and various sports clinics/forums, throughout his radio and television broadcasting career.

Mr. Cornish has also volunteered countless hours helping to raise much needed funds for national and local charities across the country.
