Sheridan Swim Club releases statement after camera found in women’s locker room

QUINCY (WGEM) - The Sheridan Swim Club released a statement on Tuesday regarding an incident where a camera was found in the women’s locker room.

The swim club reported that the allegations do not involve any employees and they claim the suspect used a personal device to take pictures of other club members.

The Adams County State’s Attorney’s Office said it cannot give WGEM News much information because the suspect is a minor.

However, someone reported a camera in the locker room after a recent swim team practice.

WGEM News also spoke with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office who stated they can not release much information because of the age of the suspect, but did confirm the department is investigating and encourages anyone with information to call.
