Woman dies after being hit by her own vehicle

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY/Gray News) - A 63-year-old woman died after she was hit by her own vehicle, according to authorities.
Tammy Mears hooked a battery jump box under her hood and was attempting to get back in her SUV when it started to roll and trapped her, Houston County Deputy Coroner Andrew Byrd said.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
